Ways to Serve and Participate at CCC

There are many opportunities to serve God and Christian and Congregational Church by sharing your time, talents, and gifts. Below is a list of ministries we offer. Call the church office if you would like more information.

CCWF (Christian and Congregational Women’s Fellowship)
CCWF meets on the first Thursday of every month for fellowship, a program, a brief business meeting and refreshments. All women who attend Christian and Congregational Church are invited to participate in our Women’s Fellowship.

Adult Education
Following worship on Sundays an Adult Bible Study is held in the Library. This is a good opportunity to learn more about the Bible and how it applies to our lives today.

Children’s Ministries
The children’s ministry is made up of people who want to encourage the youth in our area to grow in faith with Jesus Christ. They assist with planning and serving the G.I.F.T. (Growing In Faith Together) Sunday children’s ministry, monthly J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) Adventures Nights, and Vacation Bible Schools. Nursery attendants are also a blessing. Music Ministry
The Music Ministry has a special roll in organizing the choir, special music for worship and special services, and more. If God has blessed you with a talent of music, please consider becoming a part of this ministry.

Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry coordinates regular worship services, special services, and prayer services. They also organize servers, greeters, ushers, acolytes, communion preparers and more.

Member Care Ministry
The Member Care ministry is responsible for visiting our friends and family members in the hospitals, care homes, and their homes if home-bound. They share devotions, prayer, and communion with them. They also sponsor new members, assist with baptisms, and more.

Prayer Ministry
At CCC we believe firmly in the power of prayer. Our prayer ministry not only consists of encouraging our church family to pray individually but we also have a group of prayer warriors who we notify by phone, email, and/or social media with new concerns. We also review our list of prayer concerns at church board meetings, CCWF meetings and they are printed in the monthly newsletter. Current concerns are also announced on Sundays during worship.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are made in prayer & blessing for the recipients. They may be crocheted, knitted, woven, quilted, or sewn to specifications. They are then blessed and delivered with prayer to individuals in need of comfort and/or healing.

Stewardship Ministry
The Stewardship Team promotes the giving of Time, Talents, & Gifts to the church as a means of spiritual enrichment and character building for each participant.
